The house is an absolutely stunning Grade II listed home dating back to the 14th century. Lovingly restored by your hosts, Nick and Fiona, it has spacious en suite rooms with every comfort, and contains a wealth of exciting and unusual original period features.
There are beams galore [horizontal and vertical], open fires, two staircases, and flagstone floors with oriental rugs. The secret courtyard has a pond and well, the original cider room has an apple trough, and the bakehouse features bread ovens and copper.
The house was the first to be built in the charming Somerset village of East Horrington, and was originally a part of the Longleat Estate, moving into private ownership at the turn of the last century.
Manor Farm has been included in Rick Steves' Europe Guide Book for some years now, and Fiona was delighted to welcome Rick Steves personally last summer.
